I no longer believe in the doctrine of Trinity because the following testimony from the very mouth of our Lord Jesus Christ proves that God is not tri-personal:
Joh 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Hi Anthony,
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to how you would explain these verses without understanding the concept of God as a Triune God?
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:9-11)
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” (Acts 5:3-4)

How about this one?
DeleteJohn 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated BOTH ME AND MY FATHER.
Susan you'll never get a straight answer from Anthony any more than you do from April.
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI opened this Blog long time back and didn't bother to update it.
I believe F/S/HS are all God and each distinct - Father is not The Son is not The Holy Spirit is not The Father. Yet God is not triune but Tripartite. The F/S/HS are One God but not three Persons as Trinitarian dogma teaches. Only Christ, The Son of God is the Person of God - God's appearance to man. Heb 1:3 teaches that God has only singular 'Hupostatis' and The Son is the express image of that singular hupostasis. The Son is not another hupostasis and neither is The Holy Spirit. I'm not saying God is not personal in dealing with men but yet God is not a Person or Persons of any quantity. The three are One but the Three are not Persons. God is utter transcendent and all creation is external to Him. He is unknowable in His realm, invisible and unapproachable. We only know Him by His own Logos which proceeded forth at Divine utterance to make Himself known in immanent created realm - first in the heavenly created realm and from procession to conception in the created earthly realm. Thus the eternal Logos became flesh - our Lord Jesus Christ. God created everything by His own Logos/by the Spirit of His mouth (Ps 33:6).
I think Shodan has a blog which explains the constitution of God. You can visit his blog at :http://www.dsouzashodan72.blogspot.in/
I've not time to update my blog and you won't be seeing me here. You can also visit CARM.org - Trinity forum where there are two persons PneumaPsucheSoma and Merismos Mom have refuted the doctrine of Trinity using only inspired Greek words relative to the constitution of God. Trinity, on the other hand, uses only man made dogma of three hupostatis of one ousia - which nowhere in scriptures do we find.
Tony, Tony,
ReplyDeleteI give straight answers which you may not like.
BTW, John 17:1-2 is favorite verse of Unitarians to prove Jesus is not God. But I'm not an Unitarian. Though on the surface it looks like The Father is the only true God and The Son thus excludes Himself from true Deity, it does not work that way at all if we dig further at Christ's origin - the eternal Logos of God.

ReplyDeleteAnthony, you finally gave a straight answer after 7 months, how was I to know you don't update your blog? You believe "F/S/HS are all God and each distinct - Father is not The Son is not The Holy Spirit is not The Father.Yet God is not triune but Tripartite. The F/S/HS are One God but not three Persons".
DeleteYou believe God is divided into 3 parts, so that each "part" is distinct? Or is it the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 copies of each other yet distinct, but since they are supposedly copies they are one?
"Tony, Tony,
DeleteI give straight answers which you may not like."
Anthony, of course I won't like them if I find them unbiblical.
